I Ching - O livro das mutações - cont.

63 Settled fire below, water above
Settlement is successful, even in small matters. It is beneficial to be correct; otherwise there is good fortune at first but confusion in the end.
In all matters, when balance is attained, then everything is settled. (...) But when secure, do not forget danger; while you are alive, do not forget death; in times of order, do not forget confusion - this is a true principle that applies to all times.
.. calamity always comes from failure to anticipate it.
When settlement has taken place, it seems as if there were no problems, but problems will surely come along; so developed people consider them seriously and prevent them.
... there will be something to do, even in times when there is nothing to do ...
The genuine get the blessings.
The lower trigram fully exerts the function of the illumination of fire to achieve settlement; ... The fifth yang, with the strong and upright genuine virtue in the center of water, receives it as an offering, without expending any effort, like performing a ceremony.
Even if one has the virtue, without the proper timing it is impossible to accomplish this; even if one has the timing, if one does not have genuine virtue, it is still not possible to accomplish this. The meaning of considering problems and preventing them here lies in sincerity, and is not seen in material things.
